Spring Link, Removing And Installing: Removing
The Left Rear Level Control System Sensor -G76- will be called the left rear level control system sensor in the information that follows.
The following information describes the removing and installing on the left side of the vehicle as an example.
-- Refer to Wheel, Removing .
-- Remove the spring link stone chip protection. Refer to Spring Link Stone Chip Protection, Removing and Installing .
Vehicles with left rear level control system sensor
-- Remove the left rear level control system sensor on the spring link. Refer to Left and Right Rear Level Control System Sensor G76/G77, Removing and Installing .
Continuation for all vehicles
-- Remove the spring. Refer to Spring, Removing and Installing .
There is a risk of an accident when lowering or lifting the vehicle when the support and lifting tool is underneath it.
- Do not lift or lower the vehicle when the support and lifting tool is underneath.
- Do not leave the support and lifting tool under the vehicle any longer than necessary.
-- Position the Engine/Gearbox Jack: VAS 6931 -B- with the Engine/Gearbox Jack - Gearbox Support: T10337 -A- under the wheel bearing housing -1- and slightly press upward for support.
-- Mark the position of the eccentric screw -11- to the subframe -4-.
-- Remove the nut -5- and the bolt -8- for the shock absorber -3-.
-- Remove the nut -6- and remove the bolt -7- at the wheel bearing housing -2-.
-- Remove the nut -10- and remove the eccentric washer -9-.
-- Remove the bolt -11- from the subframe -4-.
-- Remove the spring link -1-.
