Triple Roller Joint, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Clamp the drive axle -1- into a vise -A- with jaw protectors -B-.

-- Open the clamps -2- and -4- for the CV boot -3-.

-- Slide the CV boot -3- back on the drive axle -5-.

-- Remove the joint f -1- from the drive axle.

-- Remove the grease and clean the drive axle -5-.

-- Remove the circlip -3- using the Circlip Pliers: VAS 5503A  -C-.

-- Engage the Press Plate: VW401  -C- and Press Plate: VW401  -D- in the workshop press.

-- Position the Tripod Joint Tool - Assembly Tool 4: T10065/4  -B- on the drive axle -2-.

-- Push the Tripod Joint Tool: T10065/1  -A- with the opening over the drive axle -2-.

-- Insert the on the drive axle -2- with the Tripod Joint Tool - Assembly Tool: T10065/4  -B- in die Tripod Joint Tool - Assembly Tool: T10065/1  -A-.

-- Insert the drive axle -2- with the Tripod Joint Tool - Assembly Tool: T10065/4  -B- and Tripod Joint Tool - Assembly Tool: T10065/1  -A- between the Press Plate: VW401  -C- and the Press Plate: VW401  -D-.

-- Push together the Press Plate: VW401  -C- and Press Plate: VW401  -D-.

-- Position the drive axle with the Tripod Joint Tool - Assembly Tool: T10065/4  -B- and Tripod Joint Tool - Assembly Tool: T10065/1  -A- on the Press Plate: VW401  -C- and the Press Plate: VW401  -D-.

-- Check if the triple roller star -1- is seated correctly on the Tripod Joint Tool - Assembly Tool : T10065/4  -B-.

-- Position the Press Piece - Rod: VW409  -E- on the drive axle -2-.

-- Press the triple roller star -1- off the drive axle -2-.

-- Remove the CV boot from the drive axle -2-.

-- Clean the drive axle -2-, joint piece and groove for oil seal.
