- Aerial Cable Repair Set - Crimping Tool: VAS6720/4
- Aerial Cable Repair Set - Crimping Tool: VAS6720/2
- Antenna (Aerial) Cable Repair Set: VAS6720
Determining the antenna wire system
-- Using the gauge from Antenna (Aerial) Cable Repair Set: VAS6720 , check which antenna wire system needs to be repaired.
- System RG 174 = blue
- System RTK 031 = gray
Cutting the antenna wire
-- Install a fitting Aerial Cable Repair Set - Wire Stripping Tool: VAS6720/1 or Aerial Cable Repair Set - Wire Stripping Tool: VAS6720/3 to the crimping pliers from the Antenna (Aerial) Cable Repair Set: VAS6720 .
-- Slide the antenna wire -1- into the cutting device -arrow-.
-- Close the crimping pliers, then open again.
-- Remove the antenna wire -1-.
Removing the insulation from the shield
-- Push the locking pin -2- in the direction of -arrow- all the way into the rotating cutting piece -3-.
-- Push the antenna wire -1- all the way into the rotating cutting piece -3-.
Conditions
- The locating pin -2- is fully pulled out of the rotating cutting piece -3- again.
-- Engage the blade holder -1- in the direction of -arrow A- into the rotating cutting piece -3-.
Conditions
- The gap -arrow- is completely closed.
-- Hold the antenna wire -2-.
-- Turn the rotating cutting device -3- in the direction of -arrow B-, until it can be turned easily.
-- Pull out the release pin -1- in the direction of -arrow A- until the blade holder is loosened from the antenna wire -4-.
-- Push the locking pin -2- in the direction of -arrow B- all the way into the rotating cutting piece -3-.
Conditions
- The antenna wire -4- will be pushed out of the rotating cutting piece -3-.
-- Remove the antenna wire -4-.
-- Remove insulation from the antenna wire.
Removing the outer jacket of insulation
-- Push the antenna wire -1- in the mount -arrow-, all the way -2-.
-- Close the crimping pliers, then open again.
-- Remove the antenna wire -1-.
Removing the inner insulation
-- Push the antenna wire -1- in the mount -arrow-, all the way -2-.
-- Close the crimping pliers, then open again.
-- Remove the antenna wire -1-.
Crimping the inner conductor
-- Install a fitting Aerial Cable Repair Set - Crimping Tool: VAS6720/2 or Aerial Cable Repair Set - Crimping Tool: VAS6720/4 to the crimping pliers from the Antenna (Aerial) Cable Repair Set: VAS6720 .
-- Fold out the positioner -1-.
-- Open the positioner plate -2-.
-- Push the inner contact -3- in the direction of -arrow-, all the way, into the positioner -1-.
-- Closing the positioning plate -2-.
Conditions
- The inner contact is secured -3-.
-- Fold in the positioner -1-.
-- Slide the antenna wire -1- into the inner contact -2-.
-- Close the crimping pliers completely until it reopens by itself.
-- Open the positioning plate -3-.
-- Remove the antenna wire -1-.
Crimping the outer conductor
-- Slide the sleeve -3- over the antenna wire -4-.
-- Slide knurled contact area -arrow- of the outer contact -1- over the aluminum foil.
-- Slide the shield -5- into the outer contact -1-.
-- Slide the outer contact -1- entirely over the inner conductor -2-.
-- Slide the sleeve -3- over the shield -5-.
-- Fold out the positioner -1-.
-- Insert the outer contact -2- into the center profile -arrow- of the Cable Repair Set - Crimping Tool: VAS6720/2 or Cable Repair Set - Crimping Tool: VAS6720/4 .
-- Close the crimping pliers completely until it reopens by itself.
-- Remove the antenna wire -3-.
