Battery A, Removing And Installing: Notes

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

CAUTION:

Leaking battery acid.

Risk of acidic chemical burns on the body and corrosion on the vehicle.

- Wear protective gloves, clothing and eyewear.

- The battery must not be tilted.

- Neutralize sulfuric acid as fast as possible for example using soapy water.

CAUTION:

Oxyhydrogen gas escaping due to charging and degassing.

Risk of explosion

- Prevent generating sparks.

- Take care to avoid short circuits.

- No open fire.

- Do not smoke.

- No open flames.

- Discharge the static electricity, quickly touch the door striker.

- Only perform battery procedures in well-ventilated locations.

- Pay attention to the correct side of the bleed hole.

CAUTION:

Danger of explosion when checking, charging or jump starting the battery.

- Do not check or charge a battery when the "ALI (Acid Level Indicator)" has no color or is bright yellow. Do not give a jump start.

The Fuse Panel A -SA- will be called fuse panel A in the information that follows.

Battery -A- will be called battery in the information that follows.
