Battery A, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

If the battery is replaced, the battery data must be recorded before installing by writing it down, taking a picture or via a QR code scan. The QR code can be read with the Bar Code Scanner: VAS6161/1A  .

-- Place the protecting plate on the battery.

-- Insert the battery into the battery tray -1- so that the battery clamping strip touches the rear and side stops -arrows-.

Conditions

-- Install the bracket -2-.

Conditions

-- Tighten the bolt -3-.

-- Check the battery -1- for secure fit.

-- Attach the positive terminal battery clamp -1-.

-- Tighten the nut -2-

-- Connect the battery. Refer to Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting  .

If the battery was replaced, then perform the replacement test plan.

-- Perform the 12V battery, replacing function using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester. Refer to Diagnostic Entries .
