Battery A, Checking

CAUTION:

Oxyhydrogen gas escaping due to charging and degassing.

Risk of explosion

- Prevent generating sparks.

- Take care to avoid short circuits.

- No open fire.

- Do not smoke.

- No open flames.

- Discharge the static electricity, quickly touch the door striker.

- Only perform battery procedures in well-ventilated locations.

- Pay attention to the correct side of the bleed hole.

Vehicles with Color Display

CAUTION:

Danger of explosion when checking, charging or jump starting the battery.

- Do not check or charge a battery when the "ALI (Acid Level Indicator)" has no color or is bright yellow. Do not give a jump start.

-- Perform the "Battery check" function using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester. Refer to Diagnostic Entries .
