Hinge, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

New hinge 

-- Use a new seal.

Continuation for all vehicles 

-- Tighten the nuts -1- and -3-.

-- Loosen the nut -3-.

-- Tighten the nut -3- until the seal -2- is seated correctly.

-- Apply corrosion protection to the nuts and bolts.

Follow the instructions in the Paint repair information. Refer to CORROSION PROTECTION FOR BODY, ATTACHED AND WELDED PARTS .

-- Refer to Rear Lid, Adjusting  .



Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

New hinge 

-- Use a new seal.

Continuation for all vehicles 

-- Tighten the nuts -1- and -3-.
