Requirement
- The charging port door unit cannot be removed without damage.
- When replacing vehicle components, the existing identification plates on the used parts that indicate the replacement part number in the Parts Information, must be transferred to the new part according to the specifications.
- Replace any identification, warning and information labels on vehicle components that are unreadable or damaged, and re-attach them in the same location. Allocation. Refer to the Parts Information.
Tip
The hook from the charging port door unit -1- is located at the height of the depressions -3- and -arrow A- to -arrow E-. Number and position of the hook depends on the model.
-- Spray the edge of the charge door unit -1- with soapy water.
-- Guide the wedge no. 26 -2- from the Removal Wedge Set: VAS 895 015 between the edge of the charging port door unit -1- and the side panel -4- and loosen the hook. Guide the wedge no. 8 from the Removal Wedge Set: VAS 895 015 in the gap between the edge of the charging port door unit -1- and the side panel -4- and leave it inserted.
-- Loosen the hook in the sequence -arrow A- to -arrow E- with the wedge no. 26 out of the Removal Wedge Set: VAS 895 015 .
There is a risk of damage from pivoting the charging port door unit.
Paint damage possible.
- Fold in the charging door unit.
-- Pivot out the charge door unit -1- in the -direction of the arrow A- out of the side panel -3-. At the same time, fold down the charging port door so that it does not come into contact with the side panel -3-.
-- Disconnect the connectors.
-- Pull the charging door unit -1- with water drain hose -2- out in the -direction of arrow B-.
-- Disconnect the water drain hose -2- from the charging port door unit -1-.
