Left/Right Front Seat Heater ZX11/ZX13, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Disconnect the seat pan cover and cushion. Refer to SEAT PAN COVER AND CUSHION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Conditions

Commercially available hot air gun, setting: 220 °C (428 °F)

-- Heat a faulty seat heating element in the area of the adhesive. There should be approximately 30 cm distance between the hot air gun and the cushion.

-- Grip the seat heating element near the adhesive strips and carefully loosen it while applying constant heat from the hot air gun.

-- At the same time, slowly and carefully remove the seat heating element at an angle of approximately 45°.

Tip

Adhesive residue from the faulty seat heating element may remain on the cushion.

-- Make sure no pieces of the cushion have been torn out. Small torn-out pieces are permitted.
