Front Airbag And Passenger Side Front Airbag Crash Sensor G190/G284, Removing And Installing: Removing

CAUTION:

Risk of airbag deployment.

Risk of injury.

- Check if the airbag indicator lamp turns on or blinks.

- If the airbag indicator lamp turns on or blinks, the DTC memory must be read.

- If there is a DTC memory entry, the Guided Fault Finding instructions must always be followed.

-- Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to BUMPER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the lock carrier support. Refer to LOCK CARRIER SUPPORT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

CAUTION:

Pyrotechnical components can deploy unintentionally.

Risk of injury.

- Discharge the static electricity: quickly touch the door striker.

-- Remove the bolt -3-.

-- Remove the crash sensor -1-.

-- Disconnect the connector -2-.

-- To do this, pull the connector lock -2- out and press it down in the -direction of the arrow-.
