Condition
- Pay attention to the operating instructions for the Cooling System Service Station: VAS 531 011 .
-- Fill the "New" reservoir of the Cooling System Charge Kit: VAS 531 011 with a sufficient amount of coolant in the right mixture ratio. Refer to REPLACEMENT PARTS, WORKING MATERIALS AND EXPENDABLE ITEMS .
-- Make sure that the coolant hoses are connected.
-- Connect the cooling system service station.
-- Select "vehicle maintenance" in the main menu.
-- Select "pressure test" in the menu and perform the hydraulic leak test.
- Test duration - time 120 s
- Max. Delta P - 40 mbar (0.58 psi)
- Pressure test - 2000 mbar
- Follow the notes on the display.
- After finishing the test the result is shown.
-- Select "vacuum test" in the menu and perform the hydraulic leak test.
- Vacuum time - time 240 s
- Specified value - 40 mbar (0.58 psi)
- Test duration - time 120 s
- Max. Delta P - 30 mbar (0.44 psi)
- Follow the notes on the display.
- After finishing the test the result is shown.
- If necessary, repeat the procedure.
-- In the menu select "system, filling" and perform the filling.
- Capacity - enter 12000 g, corresponds to 12 liter.
- When completing the filling procedure the display shows the filled coolant quantity.
- When completing the filling procedure the service station automatically begins cleaning the hoses.
- Follow the instructions on the display and do not interrupt the procedure.
- After finishing the test the result is shown.
- If necessary, repeat the procedure.
-- Select "vehicle maintenance" in the main menu.
-- In the menu select "system, bleeding" and perform the bleeding.
- Test pressure - 1800 mbar pressure
-- Perform the "bleeding the cooling system" function using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester. Refer to Diagnostic Entries .
Condition
- Run the function twice.
-- Remove the adapter with service hose from the coolant expansion tank.
-- Add or extract the coolant.
Condition
- The coolant level must be 10 mm above the MAX mark -1-.
Tip
The increased coolant level is necessary because the coolant level may fall when driving.
