Coolant Expansion Tank, Draining

This step is only necessary if the water separator in the electric vacuum pump is filled with coolant during the filling procedure.

-- Close the shut-off valve -B- and switch off the electric vacuum pump -D-.

-- Remove the hose -E- from the cooling system filling system -C-.

-- Clamp off the supply hose -2- and the return hose -1- from the coolant expansion tank using Hose Clamps - Up To 25mm: 3094  -H-.

-- Open the shut-off valve -B- on the cooling system filling system -C- so that the coolant expansion tank is filled.

-- Remove the cooling system filling system -C-.

-- Remove the adapter -I- from the coolant expansion tank.

-- Evacuate the coolant from the coolant expansion tank.

-- Reinstall the adapter -I- and the cooling system filling system -C-.

-- Connect the electric vacuum pump -D- to do so connect the hose -E- on the connector coupling -B- on the cooling system charge device -C-.

-- Connect the vacuum pump -D- on the Battery -A- and switch it on.

-- Open the shut-off valve -B-.

-- Remove the hose clamps -H- and continue the filling procedure. Refer to Cooling System, Filling .
