Side Sill Trim Panel, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the front wheel arch trim. Refer to FRONT WHEEL COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the rear wheel arch trim. Refer to REAR WHEEL COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the bolts -3- from the side sill trim panel -1-.
-- Before removal, heat up the side sill trim panel -1- in the area near the adhesive surface -2- using the Hot Air Blower: V. A. G 1416 . Refer to Installation Requirements for Components with Adhesive Tape .
-- Guide the plastic wedge between the outer side sill and the side sill trim panel -1-.
-- As soon as the bonded joint is loosened, pull the side sill trim panel -1- with the clips -4- out of the grommets -5- in the outer side sill.
