Side Sill Trim Panel, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- Remove the adhesive residue and the adhesive surfaces. Refer to Installation Requirements for Components with Adhesive Tape .

-- Press the side sill trim panel -1- with clips -4- into the grommets -5- in the side sill.

-- Align the side sill trim panel -1- in the longitudinal vehicle direction.

-- Tighten the bolt -6-.

-- Tighten the bolts -3-.

-- Remove the protective film upward and toward the rear by pulling on the double-sided adhesive tape -2-.

-- Firmly press the side sill trim panel -1- on evenly in area with the adhesive tape.

-- Press on the side sill trim panel -1- using the Roller: T40400 in the area with the adhesive tape, using a force of 50 N to 70 N.

Requirement

The minimum curing time must be complied to. Refer to Installation Requirements for Components with Adhesive Tape .
