-- Remove the drip rail. Refer to Drip Rail, Removing and Installing .

- Wear protective eyewear.

There is a risk of corrosion damage due to drill shavings and paint damage.
- Remove all drill shavings.
- Repair any paint damage immediately.
-- Drill out the pop rivets -arrows- and remove the retaining strip -1-.
