Final Drive, Removing And Installing, Golf From My 2013 And Golf From My 2017: Notes

Brief Description

The rear axle is lowered at the rear bearing areas.

The stabilizer bar and the rear springs are removed and the drive axles are removed from the final drive. Electrical connections and vent lines are disconnected from the final drive.

Remove the >>rear section<< of the exhaust system with the heat shield and disconnect the driveshaft from the final drive.

The final drive is lowered with the transmission jack in the direction of travel >>downward<< at an angle.
