Overview - Door

NOTE:

The illustration shows the left side. The right side is identical.

After replacing the B-pillar, the bolts -2 and 5- as well as -14 and 17- are to be tightened to another tightening specification.

  1. Rear Door
  2. Bolt
    • Loosening one time to adjust the door is permitted. Always replace afterward.
    • Installed from the vehicle interior
    • To remove and install, the lower B-pillar trim panel must be removed.
    • 50 Nm
      NOTE:

      Another tightening specification must be observed after replacing the B-pillar.

      Tightening specification after replacing the B-pillar: 20 Nm + 90°

  3. Door Hinge
    • The hinge is divided.
    • The bolt -8- attaches the hinge lower section to the upper section.
  4. Cap
    • For the bolt -8-
  5. Bolt
    • Loosening one time to adjust the door is permitted. Always replace afterward.
    • Installed from the vehicle interior
    • To remove and install, the lower B-pillar trim panel must be removed.
    • 50 Nm
      NOTE:

      Another tightening specification must be observed after replacing the B-pillar.

      Tightening specification after replacing the B-pillar: 20 Nm + 90°

  6. Cap
    • For the bolt -7-
  7. Bolt
    • Always replace, loosening one time to adjust the door is permissible
    • 50 Nm
  8. Bolt
    • Connects the hinge upper section to the hinge lower section
    • 27 Nm
      NOTE:

      After replacing the lower section of the door hinge half (body-side half of the hinge), a different tightening specification must be maintained.

      Tightening specification after replacing the lower section of the hinge: 20 Nm + 90°

  9. Door Hinge
    • The hinge has two sections.
    • The bolt -8- attaches the upper section to the hinge lower section.
  10. Bolt
    • 20 Nm +90
    • Replace after removing
  11. Bolt
    • Quantity: 2
    • 9 Nm
  12. Door Arrester
  13. Door Hinge
    • The hinge is divided.
    • The bolt -8- attaches the hinge lower section to the upper section.
  14. Bolt
    • Loosening one time to adjust the door is permitted. Always replace afterward.
    • Installed from the vehicle interior
    • To remove and install, the lower B-pillar trim panel must be removed.
    • 50 Nm
      NOTE:

      Another tightening specification must be observed after replacing the B-pillar.

      Tightening specification after replacing the B-pillar: 20 Nm + 90°

  15. Door Hinge
    • The hinge has two sections.
    • The bolt -8- attaches the upper section to the hinge lower section.
  16. Bolt
    • Always replace, loosening one time to adjust the door is permissible
    • 50 Nm
  17. Bolt
    • Loosening one time to adjust the door is permitted. Always replace afterward.
    • Installed from the vehicle interior
    • To remove and install, the lower B-pillar trim panel must be removed.
    • 50 Nm
      NOTE:

      Another tightening specification must be observed after replacing the B-pillar.

      Tightening specification after replacing the B-pillar: 20 Nm + 90°
