A/C Pressure/Temperature Sensor 4 G828, Removing And Installing: Removing
Immediately seal off any open lines and connections with clean plugs from the Engine Bung Set :VAS 6122 .
-- Perform the "open the electric activated valves for the refrigerant circuit for extracting, evacuating and filling" with Vehicle Diagnostic Tester . Refer to Diagnostic Entries .
-- Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT, DISCHARGING .
The cooling system may be under pressure. There is a risk of scalding due to hot steam and hot coolant.
Scalding the skin and other parts of the body is possible.
- Wear safety gloves.
- Wear protective eyewear.
- Reduce the pressure by covering the coolant expansion tank cap with a suitable towel and carefully opening it.
-- Loosen the coolant expansion tank and move to the side. Refer to COOLANT EXPANSION TANK, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Disconnect the connector -5-.
-- Check the refrigerant line connection -1- and A/C Pressure/Temperature Sensor 4 -G828- -4- for dirt and clean them.
Danger of frostbite due to refrigerant coming out under pressure.
Frostbite on the skin and other parts of the body is possible.
- Wear safety gloves.
- Wear protective eyewear.
- Evacuate or drain refrigerant and open the refrigerant circuit immediately.
- If more than 10 minutes have elapsed since evacuating or draining the refrigerant and the refrigerant circuit was not opened, evacuate or drain the refrigerant again. Pressure develops in the refrigerant circuit due to evaporation.
-- Remove the A/C Pressure/Temperature Sensor 4 -G828- -4- ; while doing so, counterhold at the refrigerant line with an open end wrench.
