Oil Pan Lower Section, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Drain the engine oil. Refer to ENGINE OIL, DRAINING, REPLACING OIL FILTER AND FILLING .
-- Disconnect the connector -1-.
-- Remove the bolts -1 through 20-.
Requirement
- Two bolts facing each other may only be loosened to prevent the oil pan lower section from falling.
-- Attach the Cutting Tool:T10561 -3- in between the oil pan lower section -2- and oil pan upper section -1- straight to the bonding -arrows- and drive in using a commercially available plastic mallet all the way.
Requirement
- The Cutting Tool:T10561 -3- must be kept straight during the procedure.
-- Perform the procedure on other locations, until the oil pan lower section -2- is loosened.
-- Drive in the commercially available plastic wedge into the loosened area as deep as the sealing surface.
-- Carefully loosen the oil pan lower section -2- from the bonding.
-- Remove the remaining bolts and then remove the oil pan lower section.
If the Oil Pan Lower Section is Replaced:
-- Remove the Oil Level Thermal Sensor -G266-. Refer to OIL LEVEL THERMAL SENSOR G266, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
