Turbocharger, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- Coat turbocharger stud bolts with hot bolt paste.

Hot bolt paste. Refer to the appropriate Electronic Parts Information.

-- Add oil to turbocharger through oil feed line connecting piece.

-- Press on the locking plate to the nuts -3 and 4- using the 14 mm socket and a commercially available hammer.

-- Press on the locking plate to the nuts -1 and 2- using the 14 mm wrench and the pry bar, at the same time support the pry bar on the turbocharger.

-- Pay attention that the locking plate splines are facing the opposite direction of the turbocharger.

-- Refer to Cooling System, Filling .

-- Let the engine run at idle speed for one minute, to ensure the oil supply to the turbocharger.

-- Check the engine oil level.
