Charge Air Cooler, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to BUMPER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the refrigerant lines from the condenser. Refer to REFRIGERANT LINE FROM CONDENSER TO EVAPORATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the radiator. Refer to Radiator, Removing and Installing .

-- Loosen the clamps -1 and 2-.

-- Remove the charge air hose.

Radiator Mount with Catch

-- Release the catches in direction of -arrows- or cut them with a commercially available diagonal cutter.

Tip

The radiator mount will be bolted during the installation with the lock carrier. Allocation. Refer to the appropriate Electronic Parts Information.

Bolted Radiator Mount

-- Remove the bolts -arrow-.

Continuation for All Vehicles

-- Push the charge air cooler and the condenser toward the rear.

-- Release the right and left sealing strip -1- in the direction of -arrow A- and remove in the direction of -arrow B-.

-- Release the retainers -1- in direction of -arrow A- and disengage the condenser -3- from the charge air cooler -2- in direction of -arrow B-.

-- Remove the condenser -3-.

-- Guide out the charge air cooler -2- downward.
