Balance Shaft Drive Chain, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Replace the camshaft timing chain. Refer to Camshaft Timing Chain, Removing and Installing .

Requirement

The marking -2- at the three stage chain sprocket -1- must point at the center between the camshaft chain sprockets on an imagined, vertical line -arrow-.

-- Lock the three stage chain sprocket -1- using the Assembly Tool:T10531/6 -A-.

-- Remove the bolts -4- and the chain tensioner.

-- Remove the chain tensioner -3-.

-- Remove the guide pin -1- and the tensioning rail -2-.

-- Remove the guide pins -5- and the guide rail -6-.

-- Remove the balance shaft drive chain.
