Balance Shaft Drive Chain, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

Requirement

• The marking -2- at the three stage chain sprocket -1- must point at the center between the camshaft chain sprockets on an imagined, vertical line -arrow-.

-- Pay attention that the three stage chain sprocket -1- is locked with the Assembly Tool:T10531/6  -A-.

-- Attach the balance shaft drive chain on the exhaust side balance shaft and intermediate sprocket.

Requirement

• The colored chain links must align with the markings -arrows- on the chain sprockets.

-- Insert the guide track -1- and tighten the guide pins -arrows-.

-- Position the center colored chain link -arrow- at the marking of the three stage chain sprocket.

-- Insert the tensioning rail -2- and tighten the guide pin -1-.

-- Attach the chain tensioner -arrow- and tighten.

-- Check the adjustment again:

Requirement

• The center colored chain link must face the marking -arrow A-.
• The colored chain links must face the markings -arrows B- on the exhaust side balance shaft and the intermediate sprocket.
