Oil Spray Jets, Removing And Installing: Removing

Cylinder Oil Spray Jet "1" through "3"

-- Refer to TRANSMISSION, REMOVING .

-- Remove the oil pan upper section. Refer to Oil Pan Upper Section, Removing and Installing .

-- Connect the Wrench - 21mm:T40263 -A- with the Adapter:T40314 -B- and commercially available 4 mm wrench -C-.

Requirement

The help of a second technician is necessary for the following procedure.

CAUTION:

Risk of damaging the engine by the timing mechanism skipping.

- Only let the engine turn in the direction of engine rotation.

-- Turn the crankshaft in direction of -arrow- until the oil spray jet is accessible.

Cylinder Oil Spray Jet "4"

-- Remove the crankshaft. Refer to Crankshaft, Removing and Installing .

-- Remove the pressure relief valve -2- using the Socket:T10545 -A-.

CAUTION:

There is a risk of damaging the oil spray jets through distortions.

- Never bend the oil spray jets.
