Vibration Damper, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the ribbed belt. Refer to Ribbed Belt, Removing and Installing  .

CAUTION:

Risk of damaging the engine by the timing mechanism skipping.

- Only let the engine turn in the direction of engine rotation.

-- Turn the crankshaft using the Wrench - 21mm:T40263  , -A-, Adapter:T40314  -B- and the 24 mm socket -C- until the vibration damper -1- is at the upper TDC.

Requirement

-- Position the Counterhold - Vibration Damper:T10355A  -A-.

-- Loosen the vibration damper bolts by 1 /2 turn, at the same time counterhold using the counterhold tool -A-.

Requirement

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Insert the Assembly Tool:T10531/5  -C- into the cylinder block -1- by hand.

-- Position the Vibration Damper Assembly Tool:T10531/1  -A- at the vibration damper -5- and insert the knurled bolts -B- by hand.

Requirement

-- Align the adapter -C- at the inner hex socket -2- using a commercially available 4 mm hex socket wrench and counterhold.

-- Remove the bolt -4-.

-- Make sure that the Vibration Damper Assembly Tool - Turning Over Tool:T10531/3  -A- can be pushed easily over the clamping piece -B-, for this slightly remove the tensioning bolt -arrow-.

Requirement

-- Insert the Assembly Tool:T10531/6  -A- into the crankshaft and tighten by hand using a commercially available 12 mm open end wrench -B-.

-- Tighten the adjusting bolt -A- hand-tight, to secure the three stage chain sprocket.

-- Remove the knurled bolts -B- and remove the mount -A- with the vibration damper -1-.

If the Crankshaft Should Be Turned without the Vibration Damper:

-- Attach the turning over tool -A- to the Assembly Tool: T10531/6  , at the same time pay attention to the marking on the chain sprocket.

Requirement

-- Tighten the turning over tool -A- using the collar nut -B-.

-- Turn the crankshaft at the hex socket -arrow-.
