Vibration Damper, Removing And Installing: Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:
Requirement
- All contact surfaces in between the bolt, vibration damper and three stage chain sprocket must be free of grease.
-- Make sure the tooth contour -arrow- is in "TDC" position.
-- Position the vibration damper in "TDC" position.
-- Attach the turning over tool -A- on the Assembly Tool:T10531/6 .
Requirement
- The hex fitting must face toward the vibration damper.
-- Attach the collar nut -B-.
Requirement
- Slightly move the vibration damper back and forth to make sure the vibration damper is seated correctly into the tooth contour.
-- Tighten the collar nut -B- until the vibration damper can no longer be turned.
-- Attach the mount -A- to the vibration damper -4- and install the knurled bolts -B- by hand.
Requirement
- The marking on the mount -A- must point upward.
-- Align the adapter -C- at the inner hex socket -2- using a commercially available 4 mm hex socket wrench and counterhold.
-- Loosen the collar nut -A- and the adjusting bolt -B-.
-- Screw out the Assembly Tool:T10531/6 and remove using the turning over tool -A-.
-- Lubricate the O-ring -1- with clean engine oil.
-- Insert the new vibration damper bolts with an O-ring -1- by hand.
-- Remove the knurled bolts -B- and remove the mount -A-.
-- Remove the adapter -C-.
