Vibration Damper Seal, Replacing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- Clean the contact surface and sealing surface.

-- Push the seal -arrow- on the Seal Installer - Crankshaft:T10354 -A-.

Requirement

The closed side of the seal -arrow- must point to the Seal Installer - Crankshaft:T10354 -A-.

-- Push the thrust piece -A- with the seal -arrow- on the Assembly Tool:T10531/6 -B- and attach to the lower timing chain cover.

-- Attach the Press Piece - Gearbox:T10375 -B- and install the Knurled Nut:T10531/4 -C-.

-- Drive the seal -arrow- in all the way using the Seal Installer - Crankshaft:T10354 -A-.
