Crankshaft, Measuring Axial Clearance

Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Dial Indicator:VAS 6080A
- Dial Indicator Holder:VW387
-- Secure the Dial Indicator Holder:VW387 -2- to the cylinder block using a bolt -3-.
-- Insert the Dial Indicator:VAS 6080A -1- in dial indicator holder -2-.
-- Place the dial indicator -1- against the crankshaft counterweight -arrow-.
-- Press the crankshaft against the dial indicator -1- by hand and hold.
-- Set the dial indicator -1- to "0".
-- Press the crankshaft off the dial indicator -1- and read the measured value.
