Balance Shaft Gasket, Replacing, Intake Side: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- Coat the sealing surface of the intake side balance shaft -2- with transmission fluid.

-- Position the intake side balance shaft seal -1-.

Requirement

• The labeling "inside" -arrow- must point to the engine.

-- Position the Seal Installer, Intermediate Shaft:T10353/1  -A- at the intake side balance shaft seal -1- and press in all the way using the bolt -2-, at the same time pay attention to the direction of rotation.

Requirement

• The bolt -2- has left-hand thread.
• The intake side balance shaft seal must not tilt.
