High-Mounted Brake Lamp Bulb -M25-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, ARTEON: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

Replace the seals.
The vehicle and the high-mounted brake lamp must be room temperature.
The adhesive surfaces must be free of dirt and grease.

-- Completely remove the adhesive residue.

-- Clean the adhesive surfaces using the Cleaning Solution:D 009 401 04 .

-- Remove the protective film from the seals and press on the High-Mounted Brake Lamp Bulb -M25- -1-.

Assistance from a second technician is necessary for the following step.

-- Insert the high-mounted brake lamp with a second technician.

-- Remove the protective films -3- from the seals.

-- Insert the High-Mounted Brake Lamp Bulb -M25- -1- into the outer clip nuts.

-- Push the rubber lip -2- using the Wedge:T10383/1 under the rear window.

-- Perform a function test.
