The engine code consists of the "engine code" and "serial number" and is located at the joint of engine/transmission -2- as well as on a sticker -1- on top of the timing chain cover.

The first three positions of the engine code describe the mechanical engine structure. The fourth position represents the engine output and torque and is dependent on the engine/motor control module.
