Right Seal On Transmission, Replacing, Fwd Vehicles: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

-- Coat the outer edge and sealing lips of the seal with ATF.

Installation position:

The open side of the seal faces the transmission.

-- Install the seal by hand as far as possible.

-- Drive in the seal using the Thrust Piece:T50043 . Do not tilt the seal while doing so.

-- Then check the oil level. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL, CHECKING .

-- Grease the stub shaft splines -arrow- with Universal Grease:G 060 735 A2 .

-- Install the right drive axle. Refer to DRIVE AXLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
