Right Flange Shaft, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With AWD: Removing

-- Remove the nuts -arrows- and remove the right drive axle heat shield.

-- Remove the right drive axle. Refer to DRIVE AXLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Place the Used Oil Collection and Extraction Unit:SMN372500  under the transmission.

-- Remove right flange shaft bolt with Socket and Extended Bit:T10107A  by installing two screws in flange and counter holding flange shaft with assembly lever.

-- Remove the flange shaft -1- using the Puller - Flanged Shaft:T10037  .

-A- = M 10 X 25 bolts

NOTE:

To remove the flange shaft, use the Puller - Flanged Shaft:T10037  to avoid damaging the bearing on the flange shaft.

At the top of the bevel box there is a hex bolt -B- with an M 8 threaded pin.

-- Place the Seal Installer - Selector Shaft:T10135  on this hex bolt to support the Puller - Flanged Shaft.

-- Align the Puller - Flanged Shaft parallel to the flange using the Spindle -C-.

-- Remove the flange shaft.
