Cutting Openings in the New Headliner

For vehicles with illuminated vanity mirrors and/or Rain/Light Recognition Sensor -G397-, the appropriate openings must be cut into a new headliner.

-- With the help of the markings, cut out the necessary openings in the new headliner using a carpet knife.

Install in reverse order of removal.

NOTE:

Before installing, check all fasteners for damage and replace them if necessary.

Always replace the clamps for the sliding sunroof cover frame (quantity 15 on Arteon)

Remove any remaining clips from the body using :T40280 and use them to install the headliner.

Make sure the headliner is inside the rear lid seal molding after it is installed.
