Gas Cooler

The gas cooler -A- diverts heat from the compressed refrigerant gas away to the surrounding air.

At the same time, the refrigerant gas condenses to a liquid up to a certain ambient temperature. If the ambient temperature is too high, refrigerant R744 is no longer able to condense, but the compressed hot refrigerant gas will continue to cool, which is why the component name is gas cooler and no longer condenser.
