Fan Shroud, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the air duct on the lock carrier. Refer to the appropriate Service Information .

Vehicles with Auxiliary Radiator:

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and press the coolant pipe to the rear on the lock carrier.

Continuation for All Vehicles

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

-- Loosen clamps -1 and 2- and disconnect the charge air hose.

-- Disconnect the connector -1- by sliding the retainer back in the direction of -arrow A- and pressing the release.

-- Press the retainers on both sides of the vehicle in direction of -arrow B- at the same time, pull off the fan shroud from the radiator upward and remove it downward.

If Other Procedures are Done:

-- Install the Protective Mat:VAS 531 003  -1-.
