Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor On Radiator Outlet G83, Removing And Installing: Removing
Requirement
- Engine must be cold.
The cooling system may be under pressure. There is a risk of scalding due to hot steam and hot coolant.
Scalding the skin and other parts of the body is possible.
- Wear safety gloves.
- Wear protective eyewear.
- Reduce the pressure by covering the coolant expansion tank cap with a suitable towel and carefully opening it.
-- Open the coolant expansion tank cap -arrow-.
-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .
-- Place the Shop Crane - Drip Tray:VAS 6208 underneath.
Depending on the equipment/version the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on Radiator Outlet -G83- -3- can be installed on the left or on the right side of the vehicle.
-- Disconnect the connector -2-.
-- Place a cleaning cloth underneath, to catch cleaning coolant leaking out.
-- Remove the clamp -4- and remove the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on Radiator Outlet -G83- -3-.
Requirement
- Immediately insert the new Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on Radiator Outlet -G83- -2-, so that as little as possible coolant leaks.
