Refrigerant Lines With Inner Heat EXCHANGER, Removing And Installing, GTE: Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:
-- Clean the connections and check for damage.
-- Thoroughly clean the refrigerant lines around the connection area and check for damage.
Replace the seals after removing.
Make sure the seals fit correctly inside the groove on each refrigerant line.
-- Pay attention to the correct seating of the seal -1- in the groove -arrow- of the corresponding refrigerant line.
-- Insert the refrigerant lines with the inner heat exchanger -5- at the expansion valve.
The illustration shows a LHD vehicle
-- Tighten the bolt -7-.
-- Install the refrigerant lines -2 and 4- with the inner heat exchanger on the connections.
-- Install and tighten the nuts -1 and 3-.
There is a risk of damaging the A/C compressor if the refrigerant circuit is empty.
- Never start the engine with the refrigerant circuit empty.
-- Charge the refrigerant circuit. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT, CHARGING .
-- Perform the leak test on the closed line connections of the refrigerant circuit. Refer to LEAKS, FINDING .
