There are different versions and manufacturers of the heater and A/C units. Individual components of the different heater and A/C units are similar but not the same. Interchanging components from different manufacturers is not permitted. Refer to the Parts Information.
A heater and A/C unit manufactured by "Valeo" is shown in the following illustrations. Refer to IDENTIFICATION for distinguishing characteristics between manufacturers.
Overview - Heater and A/C Unit, Left Side Door Control
- Air Distribution Door Motor
- To check, use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function. Refer to

Climatronic:
- Front Air Distribution Door Motor -V426- with Front Air Distribution Door Motor Position Sensor -G642-
