Brake Caliper Piston, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- Only clean the surfaces of the pistons and seal with mineral spirits and then dry.

-- Before inserting coat the pistons and seals thin with assembly paste G 052 150 A2.

-- Insert the seal into the brake caliper.

-- Place the cap with the outer sealing lip on the piston.

-- Insert the inner sealing lip in the cylinder groove using the Trim Removal Wedge:3409  -A-.

At the same time hold the piston in front of brake caliper.

-- Press the piston into the brake caliper using the Piston Resetting Tool:T10145  -A-.

Outer sealing lip of protective cap will then engage in the piston groove.
