SUBFRAME, Securing: Notes

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

-- Remove the front and rear noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

-- Remove the pendulum support bolts -1- from the transmission.

-- Position the Engine and Gearbox Jack:VAS 6931  -1- under the subframe.

-- If necessary, clean the threads of the Locating Pins:T10486/1  .

NOTE:

The Locating Pins:T10486/1  may only be tightened to a maximum of 20 Nm, since otherwise the locating pin threads will be damaged.

Rear Subframe, Securing

-- Remove the bolts -1-.

-- Remove the bolt -3- and the support -4-.

-- Insert the Locating Pin:T10486/1  -1- and tighten to 20 Nm.

-- Remove the bolts -2-.

-- Remove the bolt -5- and the support -6-.

-- Insert the Locating Pin:T10486/1  and tighten to 20 Nm.

Front Subframe, Securing

-- Remove the bolt -8-.

-- Insert the Locating Pin:T10486/1  -1- and tighten to 20 Nm.

-- Remove the bolt -7-.

-- Insert the Locating Pin:T10486/1  and tighten to 20 Nm.
