Charge Air Cooler, Removing And Installing: Installing

NOTE:

The hose connections and charge air system hoses must be free of oil and grease before installing.

Secure all hose connections with hose clamps appropriate for the model. Refer to the appropriate Electronic Parts Information.

To mount the charge air hose on their connectors securely, spray the bolts on the used clamps with rust remover before installing.

-- If there are small impressions on the fins, pay attention to the following. Refer to RADIATOR AND CONDENSER ASSEMBLY .

-- Insert the charge air cooler in the lower rubber bushing on the lock carrier.

-- Attach the radiator mount -1- and guide the charge air cooler with the radiator in the lock carrier -2-.

-- Tighten the right and left bolts -arrows- for the radiator mount.

-- Place the radiator at an angle in the lower charge air cooler mount and engage the radiators with each other -arrow-. Pull to check that the catch is secure.

-- Engage the condenser on the charge air cooler.

The rest of the assembly is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

-- Install the right and left headlamps. Refer to HEADLAMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the front bumper cover. Refer to BUMPER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the fan shroud. Refer to FAN SHROUD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Connect the coolant hose to the connector coupling.

-- Fill the coolant. Refer to Coolant Level, Checking after Repair .
