Latch, Removing And Installing, Through 03/01/2020: Removing

-- Open the hood.
-- Remove the radiator grille. Refer to RADIATOR GRILLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, THROUGH 02/24/2020 .
-- Disconnect the release cable from the release cable coupling. Refer to RELEASE CABLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, THROUGH 02/24/2020 .
-- Disconnect the connector for the hood contact switch -6-.
NOTE:
The bolt -3- is self-locking and must be replaced after every removal.
-- Remove the cap -4-.
-- Remove the bolts -3- from the lock carrier and remove the latch -1- upward in direction of -arrow a-.
-- Slightly remove the bracket -7- from the latch -1- in direction of -arrow b- and disengage the cable -8- in direction of -arrow c-.
-- Remove the microswitch -5- from the latch.
