Vibration Damper, Removing And Installing

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

Removing

-- Remove the ribbed belt. Refer to RIBBED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Lock the vibration damper using the Counterhold - Multiple Use:T10172A  and Counterhold - Multiple Use - Threaded Pin:T10172A/1  .

-- Loosen the bolts and remove the vibration damper from the crankshaft stub.

Installing:

NOTE:

Check the rubber connection between the inner ring and outer ring on the vibration damper for cracks and flaking. Replace the vibration damper if the rubber connection is damaged.

-- Replace the vibration damper bolt.

-- Position the vibration damper and tighten all bolts by hand.

-- Lock the vibration damper with the Counterhold - Multiple Use:T10172A  .

-- Tighten the bolts.

-- Install the ribbed belt. Refer to RIBBED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
