Heater Support Pump -V488-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Installing
-- Mount the coolant hoses for the Heater Support Pump -- and secure with hose clamps.
-- Remove the Hose Clamps - Up To 25mm:3094 .
-- Connect the connector for the Heater Support Pump --.
-- Install the heat shield on the Heater Support Pump -- and secure.
-- Tighten the heater support pump bolts using the Torque Wrench 1410:V.A.G 1410 , Insert Tool:T10572 and Bit Torx T30:T10573 to 9 Nm.
-- Install the Transmission Coolant Valve -- -2- and connect the connector -1-.
-- Install the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Check the coolant level. Refer to Coolant Level, Checking after Repair .
-- Start the engine and let it run in idle.
-- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester, check the engine control module DTC memory and erase all entries.
The electric coolant pump may store an error in the engine control module due to an air bubble in the cooling system. This air bubble is pushed out after the first start.
