Locking Mechanism Trim, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the headrest. Refer to Headrest, Removing and Installing  .

-- Unhook the side and upper molding strip for the cover from the rear seat backrest in the area of the locking mechanism trim using a screwdriver.

Conditions

• The help of a second technician is necessary for the following procedure.

-- Press the side cover for the locking mechanism trim -2- carefully toward the outside using a commercially available plastic wedge.

-- Press and hold the hook -1- in the direction of -arrow A- using a screwdriver -3-.

-- Repeat the process on the other side.

-- Remove the locking mechanism trim -2- in the direction of -arrow B-.
