-- Remove the bumper cover. Refer to Bumper Cover, Removing and Installing .

-- Disconnect the connector -1-.

-- Heat up the power rear lid opening sensor -2- in the area of the adhesive tape -3- using the Hot Air Blower:VAG1416  . Refer to Installation Requirements for Components with Adhesive Tape .
