Terminal, Cleaning

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Contact Surface Cleaning Set:VAS 6410 

Tip

Use gray sanding pads for slight contamination and for soft surfaces. Use red sanding pads are for heavy contamination and for hard surfaces.

Removing

-- Disconnect the battery. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Remove the cap nut.

-- Remove the terminal -2-.

-- Check the terminal -2- for corrosion and contamination.

-- Position the adapter from the Contact Surfaces Cleaning Set: VAS 6410  -1- in the terminal -2- and twist in the -direction of the arrows- to grind off.

-- Remove the burr on the terminal -1- with the deburrer -A- from the contact surface cleaning set.
