Quick Reference Guide For Flushing Cooling System

1	Drain the coolant	---
2	Fill the cooling system with distilled water	---
3	Connect the coolant expansion tank bleeder hose to the Coolant Flushing and Filling Device	---
4	Clamp off the hoses for charge air cooler -1-, bleeder hose for radiator -2- and heater core -4- and flush the cooling system	Three liters of distilled water
5	Clamp off the hoses for charge air cooler -1-, the bleeder hose for radiator -2- and cylinder head -3- and flush the cooling system	Two liters of distilled water
6	Clamp off the hoses for charge air cooler -1-, bleeder hose for cylinder head -3- and heater core -4- and flush the cooling system	Two liters of distilled water
7	Clamp off the bleeder hose for radiator -2-, cylinder head -3- and heater core -4- and flush the cooling system	Two liters of distilled water
	Repeat steps 4, 5, 6 and 7, but only pump through one liter of distilled water each time	1 liter of distilled water each
8	Clamp off the hoses for charge air cooler -1-, bleeder hose for radiator -2- and heater core -4- and flush the cooling system	3 liters of coolant
9	Clamp off the hoses for charge air cooler -1-, the bleeder hose for radiator -2- and cylinder head -3- and flush the cooling system	Two liters of coolant
10	Clamp off the hoses for charge air cooler -1-, bleeder hose for cylinder head -3- and heater core -4- and flush the cooling system	Two liters of coolant
11	Clamp off the bleeder hose for radiator -2-, cylinder head -3- and heater core -4- and flush the cooling system	Two liters of coolant
	Repeat steps 8, 9, 10 and 11, but only pump through one liter of coolant each time	1 liter of coolant each
12	Remove all clamping pliers	---
16	Remove the Coolant Flushing and Filling Device and seal off the coolant expansion tank	---
17	Bleed the cooling system using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester	---
18	Check the freeze protection and coolant level	---
