WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2015 Volkswagen Jetta. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

-- If the vehicle has a parking heater, switch it on for about 30 seconds.

-- Set the temperature to "HI".

-- Press the AC  button to turn off the A/C compressor.

-- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

-- Turn on the ignition and select the following menu item using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

NOTE:

By bleeding the cooling system is largely bleed. For this reason a >>shorter<< bleeding can be performed with the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester. Answer yes to the question "Was the cooling system filled using the electric vacuum pump", to perform the >>shorter<< bleeding.

-- Follow the instructions given in the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

-- Let the engine cool.

-- Check the coolant level and freeze protection.

-- If the freeze protection is not sufficient, extract the coolant from the coolant expansion tank. After filling with coolant concentrate adjust the correct freeze protection.

-- After filling with coolant concentrate, let run for approximately two minutes with raised speed and check the freeze protection again.

NOTE:

The raised coolant level is necessary, since the coolant level can still sink from the ventilation process.
